I teach yoga classes and workshops that focus on using our bodies as a compass leading us to a fuller, deeper life. Yoga is much more than a system of physical exercises and postures; it's a dynamic, powerful tool for expanding awareness. It is an integrated and authentic system of exercise, breath control, and meditation that has been practiced for millennia, it's safe, comprehensive, and simple. Yoga and meditation promotes physical health, stimulates the mind's potential, and touches one's innermost being.
Often clients blend therapy with the desire to develop a wellness routine at home which often includes yoga and meditation. This is something that we can co-create to honor your needs, injuries and personal goals.
I am a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and current member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (R.Y.T.), a current member of the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA), 3HO, and the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI). I completed my Yoga Therapist Certification (C-IAYT) in August 2017 and I am proud to add this to my work with clients.
Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and wellbeing through the application of the teachings and practices of yoga. The practice of yoga therapy requires specialized training and skill development to support the relationship between the client/student and therapist and to effect positive change for the individual (IAYT, 2012).
